S is now 12 weeks old. At of 4:32 am on the 22nd, we officially passed out of the corridors of that so-called 4 trimester. And although I already miss my tiny itty bitty, I also rejoice and revel in her growth. It’s seriously insane how fast they change.
In the midst of those random moments of sorrow, I can’t help but think of the day she made her entrance. How we were told that babies usually don’t cry initially but she shouted her protests immediately and with much passion! And now, today, at 3 months, she and I just sat together after she was done nursing and watched each other’s eyes. Her precious blues already changing in color and texture. Beautiful baby blues, stealing my heart.
So at 12 weeks, she still gets up at least once a night, sometimes more, likely because she’s growing like a weed. She talks and squeals and sucks on her hands and eats all of the things she can find. We are still swaddling, but I am hoping that we’ll retire the miracle blanket sooner than later.
We did recently take her to a physical therapist because of some neck/head issues. So she did receive a couple of diagnoses of torticollis and plagiocephaly but these are both totally treatable. Now we have S sleeping on her right side and using a Noggin Nest when she is in her bouncers and etc. We are also focusing on more tummy time and stretching the right side of her neck. In about a week after treatment , the improvement was remarkable! I’m incredibly happy with how versatile she has been with the changes.
We did retire the Rock’n Play early because of this, but it’s fine cause it needed to happen anyways. The next recheck on her progress is April 15th.
Breastfeeding is still going pretty great too. Pumping sucks though. No doubt about that. At least she has taken to her bottle (you know, that 10 dollar expensive one), so she’s eating great at daycare. Only around 3-4 ounces at a time, but she’s pretty consistent.
Ladies. S is seriously perfect though. Her smiles and talks are amazing. I just can’t get over how much she makes my heart feel. We adore her.

She is so adorable!! It’s great to hear that she’s doing so well!
Oh my goodness she is so adorable!! It really is amazing how fast they grow up and change. 🙂
She is such a dolly. Love her cuteness!
Be still my heart! She is amazing ❤ XOXO
Oh, I love her! She’s so beautiful! 3-4 ounces of breastmilk at a time is perfect for her age. In fact, that won’t increase a whole lot – maybe 4-5 with the occasional 6 when she’s in a growth spurt. (This comes from Kellymom.com, my go-to resource for everything breastfeeding.) I’m so happy that you’re all doing well!
gorgeous lady!!
